Cancellation Policy:

  • Payment is due at the time of your registration and must be paid in full by February 17, 2023.
  • Registrations may be transferred to another attendee if the registered attendee must cancel.
  • You may cancel your registration by January 1, 2023, with no cancellation fee.
  • After January 1, 2023, a $75 cancellation fee will be charged (payable whether or not your registration fees have been paid or you attend).
  • Cancellations must be requested in writing.
  • Cancellations after February 17, 2023, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Membership fee is non-refundable.

SESSION A: The Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA)…King of Everything
Facilitators: Leslie Laughter

Schools have conducted needs assessments for years, right? So, why have another session on the CNA? The greater flexibility offered by ESSA brings added responsibility for LEAs. What does that mean for needs assessment processes and content? What makes it “comprehensive?” In many ways, the success of programs such as Title I and Title IV (among others) greatly depend on the depth and quality of the needs assessment. Are your schools doing the same old thing or have they discovered the secrets of utilizing the needs assessment as the springboard for closing gaps? Come build on what you already know and discover the components of a great CNA.

A workshop for first time federal program administrators

Facilitators: Celeste Merriweather and Leticia Roman

Learn the most essential information about how to successfully lead federal programs in your school district from two people who have “been there”. Meet colleagues who are new to the role of a federal program administrator and establish a valuable network of support that is essential to fulfilling your new role through NAFEPA. During this workshop you will learn more regarding Accountability systems, data management and organizational tips, federal parental involvement requirements, as well as additional ways to not just survive but thrive in your new role as a federal program administrator!

This session is designed for the experienced federal programs administrator still striving for continuous improvement and professional growth. We will focus on strategic actions that can make us more effective and efficient while administering the programs that support the schools, staff, and students of our districts and states.
