Meet the New NAFEPA Honorary Members
Kirsten Tosh Cowan, Esq., is a
partner with the Brustein and Manasevit Law Firm based in
Washington, D.C. and is nationally recognized for her expertise
in the area of federal education law. She has written
extensively on the requirements of Title I of the ESEA,
including The New Title I: The Changing Landscape of
Accountability, and The New Title I: Balancing
Flexibility with Accountability. These books serve as
handbooks for many of our members. Kristen regularly speaks at
our national conferences, as well as at many state affiliate
conferences, on complex administrative and fiscal issues. She
also provides our organization with her presentations which are
posted on our Members Only section of our webpage. We are proud
to name Kristen Tosh Cowan as an honorary member of NAFEPA.
Leigh Manasevit, Esq., is a
founding partner of the Brustein and Manasevit Law Firm in
Washington, D.C. and has practiced in the field of education law
since 1974. As one of the two founding partners of Brustein and
Manasevit, Leigh established a law practice that addresses the
legal issues involving education at every level. Leigh has a
nationally recognized reputation in the area of federal
education and special education and regularly presents at
national, regional, state and local conferences and workshops.
He has presented at NAFEPA and state affiliate conferences for
many years, and he also provides our organization with his
presentations to post on our webpage. We are proud to name Leigh
Manasevit as an honorary member of NAFEPA.
